While COVID-19 is still affecting our everyday lives, our great city has found ways to adapt so we can remain involved in our communities. Here is what is happening in Denver in September 2020.

September 5-7 – 38th Annual A Taste of Colorado in Denver

“A Taste Of Colorado is Denver’s free farewell to summer party held annually over Labor Day Weekend. It’s a wonderful party in Civic Center Park featuring music, food, arts and games.

Since 1983, A Taste Of Colorado has celebrated its love for fine food and music. Produced by the Downtown Denver Partnership, it’s known as “Denver’s Ultimate Music Weekend”. This year’s festival is held from Saturday to Monday, September 5th to 7th, 2020.”

September 11-13, 2020 – Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival in Estes Park

“The Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Highland Festival brings to the best Celtic music, Irish and Highland dance, jousting, exhibition dogs, and regional flair to the “Celtic Capital of North America”, Estes Park. There’s even a Ninja Warrior Course at the festival field open to attendees.”

September 12, 2020 – Denver Food + Wine presents Dine Out to Help Out


“The Colorado Restaurant Association, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Colorado, Visit Denver, Denver Post, The Mountain 99.5, and Alice 105.9 have united in this statewide effort, and are working with the Colorado Restaurant Foundation Angel Relief Fund to help promote restaurants’ survival.

September 18-20 – 13th Annual Handmade in Colorado Expo

The annual Handmade in Colorado Expo will be back for its 13th and will be happening for three weekends in three different venues. The festival aims to promote the originality and the workmanship of some of Colorado’s independent artisans.”

September 14-18 – Denver Startup Week

“Built by the community, for the community Denver Startup Week is a celebration of everything entrepreneurial in Denver and is the largest free event of its kind. In 2020, we will host the first ever virtual Denver Startup Week to come together, celebrate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Denver and beyond, and showcase and build the city’s culture of innovation. September 15- October 15 – National Hispanic Heritage Month

“Each year, Denverites observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. It’s a month-long celebration of the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.”

September 28 – October 15 – Doors Open Denver
